The Academy
The week-long German Brass Academy acts as a forum allowing brass players to convey musical and technical skills, exchange knowledge and to come together to make music at the highest level. All lecturers are members of GERMAN BRASS.
The Academy will be held in the Freudenstadt Kurhaus and in the Freudenstadt regional school of music and art. Day of arrival is the 19th July 2009 when the Academy will be inaugurated with a concert by GERMAN BRASS in the evening. Its conclusion will be celebrated with two concerts by the Academy participants on the 25th July in Alpirsbach and the 26th July in Bad Teinach-Zavelstein. Day of departure is the 27th July 2009.
The participants’ subscription will be 350,- € or 300,- €/person for ensembles. This includes attendance of the classes of the GERMAN BRASS lecturers and a free ticket for the inauguration concert. The participants are responsible for their own travelling, accommodation and catering costs.
The call for applications aims at existing brass ensembles and single participants who will be grouped into ensembles at the Academy. This includes advanced amateurs, students of music and professional musicians irrespective of their age.
